Kya Cox

Kya, owned by Petz Pack owners Michael & Melissa Cox, is a 5 year old Irish Wolfhound, which is the tallest of dogs, but not the heaviest.  A superb athlete and an endurance runner, an old Irish proverb describes her perfectly:

“Gentle when stroked, fierce when provoked.”

This gentle giant is the star of a coloring book developed to help kids safely greet dogs for which she does free demonstrations in our local school systems.  She leads canned food drives for local shelters and makes appearances at benefits such as the United Cerebral Palsey’s Irish Evening.  Don’t miss her and 13 of her wolfhound pals march in this year’s St Patrick’s Day Parade as the mascot for the North Alabama Irish Wolfhound Society. She is the official meet and greet dog for Petz Pack, Your Dog’s Home Away from Home.  She has left her mark on the Tennessee Valley and her owners are honored to share their hearth and home with this amazingly sweet and sensitive hound.
